Care Instructions

If needed, we suggest spot cleaning the bag, but only with a small amount of water (preferably distilled) apply gently with a soft cloth. However, test a small area of the bag first before applying all over to avoid any damage.

"I have had the OG for years, which I still love for a regular business trip. But recently, I had gone to a conference and found it heavy to carry around the whole day as I was rarely sitting in one place. So, for my next big conference, I wanted a bag that was still super cute and professional looking, but not too large. "I found this bag to be smaller than expected (I'm replacing one of similar size but it seems to have room for more stuff. ) I also was disappointed that I couldn't return it even for an exchange, it will be going to any consignment store that will take it. Finally, the big gold zipper is a bit silly, the covered black zippers look much better."

Perfect Travel Backpack

"This is an elegant, well made backpack perfect for travel, daily errands, or going into the office. A tablet fits in it well but probably not a laptop. The material is water resistant, wipes clean and is a strong material. Quality hardwear and it's stitched well. Love this bag!"

A very small bag

"I bought this as a replacement for a Lo & Sons bag I bought several years ago which has been discontinued (the Hanover 2). The bag looked comparable online, but it's about half the size. It's super small and the front pocket is difficult to open. I'm struggling to think of a practical use for it now that I see the size. I wish I could return it but it was final sale. It seems like there aren't any comparable bags to the Hanover."

Not as expected. . .

"If you're looking for a cross between a purse and a backpack for commuting, this is the one for you. . . unfortunately it's not what I was hoping for. I ordered the closest thing to my Hanover Backpack from 2019, and this bag is significantly smaller. Everyone in my family quoted Zoolander to comment on the size, and after doing the initial load, I reluctantly sent it back due to capacity issues. I'll always love and vouch for this company for their quality and simple details (hence five stars), but my search for a simple backpack with classy lines continues. . ."

"The bag is well made, but be cautious if you don’t have a very slim MacBook. My standard 13" Lenovo laptop does not fit in the compartment in a way that allows the bag to close, despite the description stating it fits up to a 13" laptop. Customer service explained the sizing is based on diagonal screen measurement. Worth knowing before purchasing, especially since final sale items aren’t eligible for returns."

Is there a way to purchase a shoulder strap (like on the OG) to attach to the d-rings in order to wear the bag on one shoulder as an option?: Thanks for showing interest in our Beacon backpack, CW! Can the backpack straps be detached or stashed in order to just use the top handle?: Hi KD, great question! The Beacon does not have the ability to remove the straps, however, you may want to check out the Rowledge as the bottom of the straps can be unclipped and tucked into the luggage sleeve to carry the bag via top handles!
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad that should fit in a 13" pocket, but I think might be bigger than a Mac..Wondering if you might know if that would fit in the Beacon? Thanks!!: Hi Allie -- Thanks for reaching out! The Beacon has a depth of 12.25" and a width of 10" and can fit up to 13" devices. As long as your device measures within this range it should definitely fit! Anything bigger runs the risk of being too large for the bag.

For domestic USA orders, we accept returns for any unused products within 30 days upon receiving your order. A $10 return shipping and processing fee will be deducted from your refund. Returned products must have their original packaging, uncut hang tag with barcode, not show any signs of use, wear and tear, marks/scratches, alterations, or any kind of damage.

For international orders, unfortunately at this time, we cannot accept returns. But of course, we will always honor our warranty in the rare case a product has a defect or malfunctions.

Sale items are generally accepted under our standard return policy unless noted otherwise during the checkout process. Free Ground Shipping for all orders $250 and more (before tax and after discounts). Orders below $250 will incur a ground shipping fee (shown at checkout and our shipping page) - only available to US addresses. Orders can take up to 3-10 business days (does not include holidays and weekends) to be delivered.

Fast Shipping (estimated delivery in 3–4 business days) is $25 and available for orders containing three items or fewer.
